Billabong Australia
Billabong Girls
At just 11 years old Skye made it her mission to work towards the total protection of whales. She founded Teens Against Whaling soon after and travelled to Alaska, armed with a petition of 40,000 signatures to speak to the International Whaling Commission. With the help of then environment minister, Malcolm Turnbull, Skye successfully met with IWC Chairman William Hogarth. Since then Skye has travelled around the world campaigning for the rights of whales, with much success.
Skye's efforts as an environmentalist have already been recognised with the national Girlfriend of the Year award 2006, the Port Stephens Young Citizen of the Year award 2006, the International Fund for Animal Welfare Junior Campaigner of the Year award 2006 and the Sea Shepherd Medal for Courage and Dedication to Marine Animals 2007. And in March 2008, Skye was the youngest ever finalist for NSW Woman of the Year.

Moxie Girls
MOXIE GIRLZ JOINS THE FIGHT AGAINST WHALING!
As a way to encourage all young girls to think big, Moxie Girlz is helping 16 year old Skye Bortoli reach her dreams, by donating $1 from every Moxie Girlz doll sold to her Teens Against Whaling organisation, with an aim to raise $30,000.
Dedicated to her vision and determined to make a difference, Skye Bortoli is an effervescent realist and conservationist with a passionate interest in positively shaping the world around her.
At the age of 16, she has already completed her first book, Eco- Warrior, where she tells her remarkable story so far, including family tragedy, her Aboriginal heritage and how she started the organisation Teens Against Whaling in 2006.
Since then, Skye has embarked on a worldwide campaign to save the whales and Moxie Girlz is proud to support her in the fight against whaling . Skye has traveled to many overseas destinations, including Japan, Alaska and Chile to visit numerous political figures on her quest to eliminate whaling on a worldwide scale.
Money raised from Moxie Girlz doll sales will allow Skye to continue her fight and will assist in the development of new Teens Against Whaling campaigns, to build awareness for her cause. Together Skye and Moxie Girlz are sure to inspire young girls, so they believe that they too can achieve their goals.
Moxie Girlz are available now at all major retailers, including Myer, David Jones, Target, Big W, K-Mart, Toyworld, Toys R Us and all good toy stores nationally.
