As part of Australia and Japan's recently formalized agreements of Friendship.That beyond commerce and our mutual support and defense of the South Western pacific region, we recognize that the real acts of friendship do require the respect of cultural differences. We in our community would see it as a great act of friendship if Japan acknowledge how endeared we are as a community and nation to our recovering population of endangered Humpback Whales and how grateful we would be if they desist in killing them.
